The Cheep-Cheep (also spelt as Cheep Cheep) is a enemy in the Yoshi series, debuting in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island in the Yoshi series, they're fish-like enemies that originally debuted in Super Mario Bros..

Games[]

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island[]

Cheep-Cheep first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They have a wider mouth, smaller, closer eyes and yellow pectoral fins. They attack by swimming around the surface of water, while some will leap out of the water and straight into the air or in some cases jump out the water in an arc, these Cheep-Cheeps are called Flopsy Fish. They can be eaten but not turned into eggs.

Yoshi's Story[]

Cheep-Cheep reappears in Yoshi's Story. They are only found in Neuron Jungle, Lots O' Jellyfish and Lots O' Fish they have visible eyelids and higher-set eyes orange lips that separate their mouth corners. Their pectoral fins are small, circular, and yellow. Their tailfins are split into two lobes. They move back and forth in a small area, or swim forwards in a straight line.

Yoshi Touch & Go[]

Cheep-Cheep reappears in Yoshi Touch & Go. They use the same attack pattern from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Yoshi's Island DS[]

Cheep-Cheep reappears in Yoshi's Island DS, retaining their same attack pattern from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The Flopsy Fish also return in this game.

Yoshi's New Island[]

Cheep-Cheep reappears in Yoshi's New Island. They simply swim in a straight line.

Yoshi's Woolly World[]

Cheep-Cheep reappears in Yoshi's Woolly World. They swim in a variety of ways such as straight forward or circling.

Yoshi's Crafted World

Cheep-Cheep makes a reappearance in Yoshi's Crafted World they once again retain their jumping out of the water attack from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island they are only found in the levels Bombs Away on Pirate Island, Slip-Slide Isle and Ride the River.
