Chomps are enemies that are found in Super Mario World 2 and Yoshi's Story. They can be said to be chainless Chain Chomps.
Super Mario World 2[]
In Super Mario World 2, they fall from the sky and can can destroy the ground, making a big hole. They can't be defeated with any attack.
Yoshi's Story[]
In Yoshi's Story, they only appear in Jungle Hut. They move from side to side. If Yoshi or his allies are hit by one, the chomp will stop and laugh.
