The Mario Kart series is a series of racing games starring the cast of characters from the Mario series. Yoshi has been a racer in every game in this series. In Mario Kart 8, if one buys both DLC packs, they receive all other colours of Yoshi save for Purple Yoshi and Brown Yoshi. The series began a fad of cartoon character-based racing games.
In the original Super Mario Kart, Yoshi is one of the lightest characters.
