Fire Bros. are a red unit of the Hammer Bro. that have fire powers. Fire Bros. can toss fireballs at their foes burning them if they try to get close, the fireballs can bounce across the ground too making for a rough obstacle. Like the other Bros., Fire Bros. can be defeated with any attack, even fireballs can defeat these enemies.

Fire Bros. are seen in New Super Mario Bros. Wii where they are commonly found in World 3 as well as dark caverns. They toss their fireballs at Mario, Luigi and their friends, they can also be very evasive as they hop around a lot. They can be defeated with any attack, even the use of fireballs can defeat them.
Fire Bros. also appear in New Super Mario Bros. U where they are commonly found in dark caves and on Airships. They are also found in Skies and Castles. Their behavior is the same as before and just as before, any attack can defeat them.
