Incoming Chomp is an enemy in the Yoshi (series) debuting in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It's a chainless Chain Chomp.

Incoming Chomp remains in the background in some stages. Once Yoshi or your Yoshi gets close, they'll jump from the background and destroy the ground under them creating bottomless pits.
Yoshi's Island DS[]
Incoming Chomp reappears in Yoshi's Island DS once again reprising their same behavior from the previous game.
