Mega Wigglers (also called Big Wigglers or Giant Wigglers) are a larger type of Wiggler found in several games. Unlike the usual Wigglers, they are so large that stomping them doesn't affect them. Ironically, they also move faster than a Wiggler. Mega Wigglers also have the ability to walk through poison swamps without an issue. Mega Wigglers can also be bounced on to gain extraordinary amounts of height to reach higher ledges and platforms, they can also be useful for crossing dangerous chasms. They are also invincible and cannot be defeated by any means.
History[]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[]
Mega Wigglers appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii as a semi common enemy. They are found commonly in World 5-2 and they walk through the caverns. They can be used to cross the poison water or they can be bounced off to reach higher ledges. When walking through tunnels, these Mega Wigglers should be avoided. Mega Wigglers can also plow through other enemies such as Swoopers.
Super Mario Galaxy 2[]
Mega Wigglers are also seen in Super Mario Galaxy 2 in the Supermassive Galaxy. They appear on the final planet as your last obstacle before you reach the Star. There are also some Angry Mega Wigglers later on the track. Mega Wigglers are fully invincible in this game and there is no attack that can defeat them. Just as before, stomping on a Mega Wiggler will not enrage it.
New Super Mario Bros. U[]
Mega Wigglers also appear in New Super Mario Bros. U. In this game, they are commonly seen in the level Wiggler Stampede. They can be used to cross the river of Poison Water. Mega Wigglers can also be used to reach higher platforms and to continue along the main paths.
Trivia[]
- The Mega Wiggler's appearance seems to suggest that a Mega Flutter might also exist but Mega Flutters have yet to make an appearance in a game.
