The Monty Mole is an enemy in the Yoshi series appearing in Yoshi Touch & Go. They're brown moles that originally debuted in Super Mario World. In most games, their main method of attack is running savagely at Mario. Luigi and Yoshi. They usually live underground and burst from the ground to attack. Some Monty Moles also work on Airships, these Monty Moles are called Rocky Wrenches.
History[]
Super Mario World[]
The Monty Mole first appears in Super Mario World. Here, they attack by burrowing from the ground and attempting to run into Mario, Luigi and Yoshi. Any attack can defeat a Monty Mole in this game, Monty Moles also have a more durable larger relative called the Mega Mole.
Yoshi Touch & Go[]
The Monty Mole later appears in Yoshi Touch & Go they are somewhat uncommon enemies they attack by leaping from the ground or charging at Yoshi they can be defeated by jumping on them, throwing an egg at them or encasing them in a circle with the Nintendo DS Stylus.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[]
The Monty Mole returns in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. In this game, they are mainly found on the cliffs of World 6. In this game, they commonly are found in large numbers near cliff edges making them very dangerous. Once again any attack can defeat them.
New Super Mario Bros. U[]
The Monty Mole also appears in New Super Mario Bros. U. Their behavior and role is almost identical to how it was in the previous game, they can also run along rolling hills to either gain or lose speed (depending on the direction the hill is rolling in). As always, any attack can beat them.
Yoshi's Woolly World[]
The Monty Mole reappears in Yoshi's Woolly World they burrow underground or pop out of walls they can be defeated with a Yarn Ball, jumping on them or eating them.
Yoshi's Crafted World[]
Monty Moles are enemies in this game and in the level Monty-Mole-B-Gone, your Yoshi must defeat as many possible for Smiley Flowers.
